Tim's Biography

Family:
I am a life long resident of Schuylkill County, born and raised in Pottsville.  I am the son of Eugene D Seip and Joan (Kenney) Fenstermacher.  In 1994 I married the former Starr Dubbs.  Starr and I have a daughter Elisa, age 10.  We currently live in Washington Township, Schuylkill County. 

Education:
I attended Saint Patrick’s Elementary School in Pottsville and Graduated from Pottsville Area High School.  I hold a bachelor’s degree from Mansfield University in Criminal Justice Administration.  I was able to complete my master’s degree at Marywood University in Social Work, while working full time, ten years after receiving my bachelor’s degree.     

Professional:
Currently, State Representative, 125 Legislative District.  Prior to being elected as State Representative I was a Social Worker on the Senior Behavioral Health Unit of the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Pottsville.    

I served as the Lead Therapist for the Family Support Unit of ReDCo, providing; group and individual counseling, case management services and consultation and court testimony. 

I was the Schuylkill County CASSP Coordinator, working with children and families in coordinating all child serving systems in Schuylkill County, including;  school districts, provider agencies, government agencies, community based groups, and county agencies. 

Organizations:
I have also served in different capacities in many local organizations, including;  American Red Cross, Drug Free & Healthy Beginnings Coalition, Local Interagency Coordinating Council, IU #29 Student Assistance Program (School) District Council, Advocacy Alliance, Super Cupboard Nutrition Program and CYO Basketball Coach.  Also a supporter and member of the National Rifle Association.
